Film Festival Seeks Volunteers
Las Cruces, NM – The White Sands International Film Festival (WSIFF) is currently looking for volunteers for the festival to be held August 25-28, 2011 in Las Cruces, NM.
Volunteers will staff the lobby of Cineport 10 during the festival, assist with workshop registration and in-class workshop administration, and will help with security and other details at special events.
This year's film festival will kick off with a screening of the film Refuge. The film stars Linda Hamilton, Chris McDonald, and other special guests. Academy Award nominated screenwriter Mark Medoff wrote and directed Refuge.
The WSIFF will also honor veteran actor Val Kilmer with the WSIFF Lifetime Achievement Award this year. Kilmer has appeared in many feature movies, including Top Gun, The Doors and Batman Forever.
The White Sands International Film Festival, in its 6th year, brings together films from around the world to showcase the skills and talents of amateur and professional filmmakers alike. The festival is a 4 day event running August 25-28, 2011 with film screenings, workshops and VIP parties in the friendly city of Las Cruces, NM.
