The Latest at WSIFF 3/2/10 The WSIFF is pleased to announce that The Life Time Achievement Award will be given to legendary actor, Wes Studi (Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Comanche Moon, Avatar) during the WSIFF April 17th, 2010. In addition to the Life Time Achievement Award, Mr. Studi will be inducted in the New Mexico Film Society's Hall of Fame. The WSIFF will have a special screening prior to the awards ceremony of "The Only Good Indian", directed by Kevin Willmott and starring Wes Studi.
11/14/09 Erudite Digital, New Mexico’s leader in HD Digital Cinema technology, will be sponsoring the WSIFF winning films in 2010 with pre and post production packages. Each category winner will receive 75% off of a CineAlta HDC-F950 Camera Package or 75% off of the Final Cut Pro HD Uncompressed Editing System. Erudite owns and operates high end HD digital cinema equivalent to 35mm film cameras, and can create and deliver a finished motion picture project in house. The winners in each category for the 2010 program will have a really great opportunity to work with the guys at Erudite who have a passion for film in New Mexico.
